ADII celebrated its Fourth Annual Day on April 25, 2009 with great fun fare at its office premises at Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar. The atmosphere was filled with revelry and the ambience was just perfect for the celebrations to take off with great vigour. The event was attended by all staff members and company management.
The event kicked off with the welcome address presented by Ashwini Rath, Director and CEO of ADII. In his welcome address Ashwini stressed on the fact that despite ongoing global recession ADII had fared well and was going strong. Besides he said, “ADII’s major focus in the coming year will be oriented towards new products.”
“We are planning for products like Collaboration and Workflow System and Content Management System,” he added. He ended his speech on a positive note and declared that plans are on cards whereby ADII will incorporate a couple of new social media portals in the coming months.
The speech was followed by a Quiz programme which was co-hosted by Swati Behera and Avijit Chinara from the product team. The quiz came to a draw between Soubhagya Panigrahi, Technical Coordinator and Debasish Kheti, Reporter of Odisha360.com. The quiz took an interesting turn when both the participants answered questions with ease and it seemed to be a never ending battle. Finally, both the participants were declared joint-winners of the event.
Quiz was followed by a sumptuous lunch. Subsequently, Carrom competition started. After a number of participants were eliminated in the preliminary rounds, Uma Shankar Das, Photographer of Odisha360.com defeated Alok Das, Web Developer, by a huge margin of 29-0.
Prize distribution ceremony was presided by Dr. R. S. Rath, Chairman of ADII. Bishnu Mallick, Administrative Officer, was awarded the prize for being the longest serving employee of ADII. Co-hosts of the quiz programme and its joint-winners and the winner of the Carrom competition were awarded mementoes and prizes.
The event came to an end with Ashwini giving a vote of thanks for making the Annual Day celebrations a grand success.
